Presentation - https://goo.gl/zZWf7Y

Join me for an inquiry trip down the digestive system, cruisin' the continents, into outer space, and out to Odiorne State Park on the NH seacoast.
Google Expeditions is a collection of linked virtual reality content with supportive teaching materials that allows us to take students on virtual tours all over the world.
This year our students have toured countries around the world, visited museums and zoos to observe exhibits, journeyed underwater, and traveled through models of the human body.
In this session I will share our experiences introducing students at our school to Expeditions. I will share some of our successes and challenges as well as how we are supporting research skills.
I will also share how we have started creating our own immersive content to extend learning on field trips and to create social stories using Google Cardboard.
We will have some viewers available but attendees are welcome to byod if you have one. Please install the Google Expeditions App on your tablet or smartphone prior to the session.
This session would be ideal for educators at any level considering using Google Expeditions or looking for new ways to build connections between students and virtual reality tools.

(please use this link to access session resources INSTEAD of the button located above)

There are a lot of fancy tools out there, but let's not forget to dig in to Docs!
This session will be a modeling and hands on practice session for people to really dig in to how Google Docs supports our goals for students, increase feedback loops, and promote collaboration amongst staff and students. We will look closely at the features that make this different (and better!) than Word to really maximize its use. regardless of your role, grade, or experience. Participants will walk away feeling like they FINALLY had the time to get to know this tool and what possibilities it holds.

A basic understanding of Google Classroom, Doc, Forms, and Spreadsheets should be in place.
